owledge of HIPPA regulations, as well as, knowledge of the processes associated with the billing of government agencies is a requirement. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 ( ICD-10 knowledge preferred). Knowledge of medical billing procedures and Microsoft office applications is necessary. The position requires excellent communication skills to develop strong, positive and professional working relationships with Providers, agency Directors, agency staff, departmental staff and related government agencies. Possess strong accounting and organizational skills to effectively manage and maintain systems and processes associated with the position. Maintain strict adherence to regulatory requirements and agency policies and procedures.Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is also essential. Submit billing through an Electronic Data Interface or a Web Based system is required. Management of the appeal and denial process and subsequent follow up. Maintenance of all billing related documentation to insure accuracy of billing in strict compliance with Corporate Compliance policies, agency Policies & Procedures, and departmental Policies & Procedures. Medicaid Waiver billing and other accounting responsibilities as assigned and/or required. Coordination with other finance staff for proper financial reporting of billing and cash receipts. Administrative and clerical responsibilities as needed to include copying and filing. Knowledge of EOB's. The position reports directly to the Accounts Receivable and Consumer Benefits Manager.
