DescriptionProduct Development Engineer in a compressor engineering department.
Candidate must be capable of working independently in a multifunctional engineering role including design activities, working with suppliers, qualifying and implementing design changes into production. Taking prototype design and going through production.
Skills/Experience:
-Knowledge of and engineering experience with rotating equipment, (pumps, air compressors, small engine, electric motors) and more specifically refrigeration compressors, a plus.
-Experience reading mechanical engineering drawings and functional understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
-Experience with metal castings and machined components.
-Creating production drawings for suppliers
-3D modeling design software preferred Unigraphics NX3 Software.
-SAP and PLM experience a plus.
Education/Training:
-Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
-Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree with 5 years experience in similar field required.
